Governor Jindal has signed into law a bill that will give parents or guardians of students in private elementary or high schools a bigger tax break on the students' tuitions and fees. Gov. Jindal approved Senate Bill 13 that will raise the tax deduction a parent or guardian can take from the existing 50 percent or a maximum of $5,000 to 100 percent of the tuition and fees paid up to $5,000 per student.
