Students will work from 9am to 3pm Monday thru Thursday. Friday will be final rehearsals. Friday we will present a concert in the Chapel at 3pm followed by a reception. Activities will include: Learning and rehearsing diverse choral repertoire, Reading music, Sight-Singing Skills, Basic Composition Techniques, Managing Stage Fright, Evaluating Vocal Performance Physical Conditioning, Movement, and Singer's Health Vocal Technique, Improvisation, Friendship, and Community-Building

Elizabeth Argus last appeared on the stage at Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts as Mrs. Wilkinson, in Billy Elliot. Last summer, she played the role of Mrs. Meers in the Tulane Summer Lyric production of Thoroughly Modern Millie.  This summer Ms. Argus will play the role of Mama Rose in a Tulane Summer Lyric production of Gypsy. Since obtaining her BFA and MFA in Vocal Performance, Choreography, Musical Analysis, and Musical Theatre Direction from Newcomb College and Tulane University, Ms. Argus has enjoyed more than 30 featured roles at Summer Lyric.  She trained at Loyola University, as a member of the Loyola Ballet, from 1981 – 1997.  During that time, Ms. Argus was also a featured performer with Komenka Ethnic Music and Dance Ensemble.  She received formal theatrical training at Southern Utah University and with the Utah Shakespeare Festival.  She has performed at every local venue in the city and has received four Big Easy Awards.  During the school year, she plays the roles of Music Theory Teacher and Conductor of Cabrini High School's award-winning Cabrini Chamber Ensemble.  Ms. Argus is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Louisiana Music Educators Association, the American Choral Directors Association, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
