The 2010 Recipients of Cabrini's Distinguished Educator Award:
Mother Cabrini once said that, "The greatest heritage to a young girl is a good education." Cabrini High School embodies this sentiment. All of the values Cabrini bestows upon its students would not be possible without a strong foundation. For many years, the administration and students at Cabrini have considered many ways to honor the elementary school teachers who prepare the outstanding students who come to Cabrini. The Distinguished Educators Award is the result.
Cabrini students who have demonstrated outstanding character and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher were given the opportunity to nominate the elementary school teacher who made the biggest impact on their lives. Each student submitted an essay about the impact their nominee had on them and why. Essays were then reviewed by a committee of Cabrini faculty and staff. The committee discussed the nominees and chose the honorees for the award.
Thank you, teachers! You are the reason Cabrini is filled with driven, inquisitive, and proactive students.
