Applicants for 8th and 9th grade admission to Cabrini for the 2024-25 school year and current 8th grade Cabrini students must attend Academic Assessment Day (formerly Application/Commitment Day) at Cabrini High School on Saturday, January 13, 2024 for placement testing. The test will take place from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Cabrini administers the Pre-High School Placement Test (Pre-HSPT) to 7th grade students and the High School Placement Test (HSPT) to 8th grade students. These tests are measures of basic skills and educational achievement. The Pre-HSPT and HSPT provide national normative measures in the following cognitive and basic skills areas: verbal and quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, and language. Test results are considered for admissions decisions, placement purposes, and academic scholarship eligibility.
The placement testing fee is included in the $30 Application Fee. If an application fee was not previously submitted with the Cabrini Application for Admission, applicants should bring a check or cash in the exact amount of $30 to the placement testing.
Applicants should bring two sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers. Calculators are not permitted.
Casual attire is appropriate, jeans are acceptable; no sweatpants or pajama pants allowed. Leggings may be worn with only with a tunic or long blouse that provides coverage of the leg at least three (3) inches above the knee. Students may bring water into the testing room in a transparent bottle or drinking cup only.
