Amanda Santos De Oliveira '19 Wins Scholastic Award from Willwoods Community

Senior Amanda Santos De Oliveira has been named the winner of the 2019 Father Tom Chambers Scholastic Award from the Willwoods Community.

The Willwoods Community is a Catholic faith community that was established in 1978 by a group of married couples desiring to support the Catholic Church and the Southeast Louisiana community through prayer and service. Since then, Willwoods has grown to serve different areas, including Affordable Housing, Faith & Marriage, WLAE TV and TheDailyMass.com.

Amanda was named the winner of the Chamber scholarship based on her academic and community achievements, as well as an in-person interview with the scholarship committee, which included Tammy Cardinale ’78, Willwoods Community’s Director of Finance. Amanda will receive a $1,000 scholarship award that will be presented to her at the group’s gala on April 27.
