Senior Emily Sotomayor's Artwork Selected as Storm Drain Cover

The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation has a program called “Vivre Notre Lac.” Students were invited to submit artwork that shows that we should not throw trash down storm drains because it will lead to other bodies of water.

Senior Emily Sotomayor’s artwork was selected and converted to a storm drain cover that was put on a drain cover outside of Cabrini today. Remember, “protect the drains for when it rains, to protect our lake from pain.”
