It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Cabrini High School.
Students, faculty and staff, alumnae, parents, and members of the community gathered on Saturday, December 8, 2018 to experience Cabrini’s annual holiday tradition - Christmas on the Bayou. The Christmas event usually takes place on Moss Street but due to the anticipated weather, the event was moved inside to the Cabrini gymnasium. However, this did not stop the Christmas cheer from being spread.
The night began with Mass in the Cabrini gym. Following Mass, the Christmas festivities began. Guests experienced the living nativity and enjoyed special Christmas performances by the Cabrini cheerleaders, the Eclipse dance team, and the Auxiliary flag team. Plus, the Cabrini Chamber Ensemble and children of Crescent Cradle Daycare spread holiday cheer with caroling in anticipation of the arrival of Santa Claus, portrayed by a member of the Cabrini Dads’ Club.
After the activities in the gym, guests followed Santa Claus and his elves to the cafeteria for hot chocolate, cookies, and sweet treats compliments of the Cabrini Dads’ Club. Santa was also available for complimentary pictures that were printed on location by Barberito Photography as a souvenir to take home.
