Ask any Cabrini student or alumna what their favorite Cabrini event is, and they will likely say Intramurals! It's the most creative and spirited day of the school year!
Intramurals typically takes place on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break begins. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions in the fall, Intramurals was put on hold. Fortunately, Student Council brainstormed and came up with a modified version, Mini-Intramurals.
Before Easter break, the student body gathered in groups for Mini-Intramurals in the gym. Modifications were made on guidelines, and the entire event was live streamed into classrooms. It was different but just as fun and creative!
Each grade, starting with the Pre-Freshmen and ending with the Seniors, took turns showcasing their dance, cheer, and skit to the Cabrini alumnae judges. The classes were also being judged on their costumes, murals, class participation, or pep squad, and attendance.
It was a clean sweep for the senior class as they won all six categories – Best Banner, Best Costumes, Best Dance, Best Pep Squad, Best Skit, and the Attendance Award with their theme, Sailing Away Seniors.
A big shout out to the Pre-Fish Pre-Freshmen, Freshman Night Light, Start Your Engines Sophomores, and the juniors with their Scooby-Doo theme, “2022, Where Are You?” on a job well done with creativity, collaboration, and class spirit during a challenging time!
