Cabrini High School's Dads' Club will offer parking for the Endymion parade on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 9 am - 10 pm. Parking is $20 per vehicle. Parking spaces can be obtained on-site on parade day on a first-come, first-served basis.
Science Squad visited St. Dominic's kindergarten class to teach about seeds. The presentation was led by Science teacher Lauren Holstein. She was assisted by Cabrini faculty member Caroline Harris, Bailey Chauvin’18 and Katie Heller’20. The students sang a song about planting seeds, colored a cup cover to show what plants need, and planted a bean seed behind a window in the cup cover so they could watch it sprout.
Mrs. Anne Jeanmard uses a unique approach to insure students in her Algebra I Honors class grasp the theory of Exponential Growth activity and how cancer cells reproduce.
As a result of attending a conservation workshop in SanDiego, Mrs. Ann Smart was able to borrow a kit for her Environmental Science class that teaches about efforts to recover endangered species, specifically the California Condor. After learning about condor recovery efforts, students were able to use radio telemetry devices to "track" stuffed condors that had been hidden around the school yard, banded with radio transmitters. Once all the condors were found, the information was related to local efforts to recover species such as the La. Black Bear and the Whooping Crane.
The class of 2019 sponsored, planned, and had a blast at the annual Sophomore Charity Challenge. In addition to members of the class, sophomore boys from Archbishop Rummel High School and Holy Cross High School, as well as other sophomore boys who were guests of the Crescents, joined the night of competition and fun.
Cabrini High School and its offices will close at 3:30 pm Friday, February 24, 2017 for the Mardi Gras break and reopen at 7:30 am, Monday, March 6 – D5.

Ten Cabrini students and two Cabrini mathematics teachers attended the Louisiana State Convention of the national math honor society Mu Alpha Theta’s in Baton Rouge. Last weekend 704 students from 33 schools competed in math games, subject area tests, and interschool competitions in subjects from geometry to calculus. Cabrini is proud to announce the following students' successes: Amanda Sisung '18 finished 20th (out of more than 120) in individual trigonometry test and 9th place in Alpha level Descartes game. Sabrina Costales '18 placed 6th puzzlements area test, and Grace Davidson '18 8th place functions area test. The Cabrini club also earned 4th place for scrapbook design & 6th place on t-shirt design. Grace Davidson was elected District 1 Governor for the state. Moderators Barbara Stott & Anne Jeanmard will be State Board Sponsors.
