The birthday celebrations at Cabrini continued with the second Birthday with the Principal of the year, celebrating the October and November birthdays.
Congratulations to English teacher Mrs. Ashley Evison for being named the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators (LACUE) Secondary Teacher of the Year (Grades 9-12) in Region 1.
Kennedi White ’19 and Marisa Scarlata ’19 placed in the top 5 of the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation’s 18 in ’18 Competition. Marisa Scarlata received 2nd Place for her “Currents of My Heritage” painting, and Kennedi received 4th Place for her video, “On the Town.”
Dr. Felipe Fernández-Armesto of the University of Notre Dame visited Cabrini High School to present the to Spanish and Social Studies students while in town for the Francisco Bouligny Lecture, an annual lecture series presented by The Historic New Orleans Collection.
Come show your Crescent spirit at Cabrini High School Night as the New Orleans Pelicans take on the Chicago Bulls on November 7 at 7:00 p.m. Also, catch the Eclipse Dance Team and junior dance team perform at the Pelicans Primetime at 6:30 p.m. Deadline to purchase tickets is October 19.
Cabrini's National Art Honor Society is competing in the Painted Pumpkin Patch contest, sponsored by Lakeside Shopping Center and Raising Cane's. Voting will take place only on October 13 and 27 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the center court area of Lakeside Mall. As the reigning champs, Cabrini needs your votes to defend our title!

The Dads’ Club will be offering parking for the Deutsches Haus Oktoberfest on October 5-6, 12-13, and 19-20 from 4:00 p.m. to close on the Fridays and 1:00 p.m. to close on the Saturdays for $10 per vehicle.
