St. Frances Xavier Cabrini has left a living legacy of service to those in need. In her lifetime, she provided tangible and spiritual support to the poor, the sick, orphans, immigrants, and countless others. Today the institutions of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart continue to serve where human suffering and needs are great. Cabrini students embrace Mother Cabrini’s passion for serving God through service to others. Each student completes 100 hours of volunteer community service prior to graduation. Our young women, faculty, staff, and alumnae spend thousands of hours each year serving the hungry, sick, defenseless, elderly, and needy.
In addition to the service hours completed by each student individually, Cabrini engages in school-wide service projects throughout the year. These are led by Campus Ministry, the National Honor Society, and other student organizations. Some of the annual efforts include the Catholic Charities Adopt-a-Family drive at Christmas, education about and fundraising for efforts against human trafficking in conjunction with the Cabrini Mission Foundation, Catholic Relief Services' Operation Rice Bowl during Lent, a Thanksgiving food drive, and Grade Level Service Learning experiences.
