Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Cabrini will suspend the current year service hour requirements usually due in August 2020 on Back-to-School Day. Any student who has completed any service hours and would like to add them to their school Service Hours record may submit the documentation on letterhead from the service organization when she returns to campus in August.
Summer reading is an essential activity for improving reading and writing skills. Students are expected to read the books indicated below based on English course placement for 2020-2021. Students will be assessed throughout the school year in the form of various writing assignments. Written summaries on the assigned readings are recommended but not required, as they will not be counted as a grade.
These books may be downloaded to your iPad through the iBook store, purchased through MBS Direct on our website, or the hard copy book may be used. Students will need to be able to access these books throughout the school year.

The Math Department at Cabrini High School strives to strengthen math skills of all students. In order to assist students in retaining material from their previous math course, we require the completion of the Summer Math Packet before the first day of school in August. The work will be collected and graded, and there will be an assessment on the problems found in the packet.
Select the class you are entering to find the correct packet.
The Summer Math Packet includes comprehensive, standard practice problems from the math course the student has just completed. Problems should be worked on loose-leaf with pages and problem numbers clearly labeled. Honors students will complete the pack in its entirety. All work must be shown, where necessary.
For help with problems, students can visit the following websites:
aaamath.com
purplemath.com
khanacademy.org
youtube.com
The completed Summer Math Packet will be turned in the first week of school for a homework grade, and students should expect a quiz on the material.
Students enrolled in Dual Enrollment College Algebra and College Trig through UNO do not have a required summer math packet.
If you have any math-related questions or concerns, please contact Math Department Chair, Ms. Maureen Walsh at mwalsh@cabrinihigh.com.
If you are uncertain about your math course placement, please contact Mrs. Cristen Watters at cwatters@cabrinihigh.com.
Thank you for your cooperation with this assignment.
