Congratulations to the Crescent Track & Field Team for their Top 10 team finish at the LHSAA 4A Outdoor State Championship last night at Louisiana State University! The Crescents walked away with five events achieving the 2024 Nike Outdoor Nationals Championship Qualifying Standards, two state medalists, and two new personal records! Top finishers for the Crescents were:
- State Runner in the Pole Vault with the fourth highest vault in school history: Bailee Villavaso
- Bronze Medalist in the Javelin with the fifth farthest throw in school history: Hannah Rose
- 4th place in the Long Jump with a new personal record, and the 8th farthest jump in school history: Madison Brown-Adams
- 6th place in the 100M Dash with a new personal record, and the 3rd fastest time in school history: Madison Brown-Adams
- 6th place in the 4x100M Relay with the second fastest time run this year: Cameron Washington, Shalae' Thomas, Arianna Marrero, Hannah Rose
- 7th place in the Triple Jump: Madison Brown-Adams
Overall this season, the Crescents saw over 90 personal records and 33 new additions to the school's Indoor/Outdoor Top 10 Performance Lists!
